We may have started Lula in Africa with travel in mind, but the deeper into our adventures we went, the more we realised how threatened the iconic species we love to photograph are. Thanks to incredibly dedicated and passionate individuals, there is hope. Our contribution is sharing the stories of every day heroes and the animals that they’re helping with the goal of preserving, protecting and caring enough, so that one day our grandchildren will fall in love with Africa like we have.

To keep elephant populations in a safe range on small fenced reserves, immuno contraceptives and understanding elephant behaviour is key to managing their wellfare 💛

In order to help bolster the dwindling lion population, Nora & Kibibi are translocated to a new reserve where they’ll be able to meet a mate and pass on their genes to the next generation 💛
