ADVENTURES
< what we’ve been up to >
The latest of our photography & videography adventures. From snow-capped mountains to brand content creation & food photography, we’ve been super busy!
LULA IN MOUNTAIN ZEBRA NATIONAL PARK
< pyjama party >
The misconception that the Karoo is flat is never more evident than in Mountain Zebra National Park, framed by the backdrop of the rounded dome-peaks of the Bankberg mountain range.
LULA IN ADDO
< elephants galore >
Herd after herd, the elephants arrived! We think we probably watched around 250 gentle giants run joyfully to greet other elephants, mud bathe, and drink together. It was a party.
LULA IN FRANCE
< bonjour la campagne >
The wilderness bug bites pretty hard, and once you’ve been nibbled, it’s hard to say goodbye to African soil, even for a couple of weeks in the southwest of France in peak summer. But that’s exactly what I did…
LULA IN CERES
< a winter wonderland >
On every possible road from Ceres to Matroosberg Nature Reserve, people had parked, alighted, and were playing, adults and children, yelling and slipping and rolling down snow-covered hills, building elaborate snow creatures, chasing each other with snowballs…
A LEOPARD LOVE AFFAIR
< the spotted one >
From behind the long grasses of the Kgalagadi, the lions slept, paws in the air, and we were sure that sightings were going to be far and few between. It felt like it was time to go home.
We settled in for a long ride, the blues creeping into the car, as they often do when we know it’s all over. But then, there she was, the most beautiful leopard. Over the next few days, we would spend hours with this playful, bright-eyed creature and be ever so thankful we didn’t make it out of the park after all.
ALEX PORTFOLIO SHOOT
< mood & magic >
What a pleasure to shoot with Alex again! This time, we got to play around with some dramatic lighting to create these editorial looks. We think he nailed it.
LULA IN LESOTHO
< snow on sani pass >
With Lula’s heater on the fritz, we set off up the highest (and arguably the most spectacular) mountain pass in Africa to meet the snow in the wild lands of Lesotho, completely unprepared! Next time, we’ll pack more than just a bobble hat and a pair of gloves each!
LULA IN THE TANKWA
< other worldly landscapes >
Although only 4 hours away from Cape Town, Tankwa Karoo may as well be an entirely different planet. Desolate, isolate & endlessly beautiful.
DEEP SOUTH EATERY SHOOT
< brand content >
Set in Glencairn, Simon’s Town, this beautiful family restaurant has a lot to offer. We had an absolute blast photographing their menu, venue and staff. Far too many glorious photos to share, but check out some in our Portfolio.
KINA & ANDY
< cutest couple shoot >
Capturing a love like Kina & Andy’s was easy peasy since it simply radiates from them. An afternoon spent with these two in the Glen in Camp’s Bay.
LULA IN GREYTON
< local is lekker >
Greyton is one of our favourite places! To drive Lula in a field full of sunshine & up a mountain to enjoy an epic view was such a dream!
OUR LATEST ADVENTURES
< goodness, we’ve been busy >
The latest of our photography & videography adventures. From snow-capped mountains, beautiful big cats, brand content creation & food photography to dreamy destinations.
TRANSLOCATING LIONESSES
< a conservation story >
When thinking of Africa, we automatically conjure the image of the mighty lion. Yet, when it comes to these critically endangered apex preditors, there are a number of issues surrounding their not-at-all-gradual demise. Lions may be the kings of the beasts, but their fate rests with us, which is why, when it’s time for these girls to move to a new reserve to help spread their genes to usher in the next generation of cubs, it really is all hands on deck, and on board, so to speak.
LULA IN MOUNTAIN ZEBRA NATIONAL PARK
< a pyjama party >
The misconception that the Karoo is flat is never more evident than in Mountain Zebra National Park, framed by the backdrop of the rounded dome-peaks of the Bankberg mountain range, its deep-etched valleys with gushing rivers and streams, and flat mountain-top plateaus, which at first appear to stretch infinitely, but drop off steeply down intimating cliff edges.
LULA IN A FRENCH ADVENTURE
< bonjour la campagne francaise >
With so many amazing local places on our bucket list, traveling internationally wasn’t really a huge consideration. Afterall, we have leopards to photograph and mountain passes to traverse. The wilderness bug bites pretty hard, and once you’ve been nibbled, it’s hard to say goodbye to African soil, even for a couple of weeks in the southwest of France in peak summer. But that’s exactly what I did when my mom called to say my dogs (our family dogs) were without a babysitter…
